The Transform Ageing programme is a pioneering community and design-led programme delivered through a partnership led by the Design Council that aims to improve people’s experience of ageing.
It brings together people in later life, their friends, family and carers, social entrepreneurs and health and social care leaders to define, develop and deliver new solutions that better support the needs and aspirations of our ageing communities in Cornwall, Devon, and Somerset.
As we approach the conclusion of the Transform Ageing programme, we reflect on our experiences, what we learned and what we would do differently next time.

Interim Report
Reflection & Thoughts
The report shows how design thinking and collaboration can be used in our projects. Their findings proved that design thinking needs to be an ongoing process instead of a one-off thing. There should be multiple iterations and continuous discovery. As for collaboration, there are also different modes for us to choose from to suit our projects. We also need to embed learning in a programme as early on in order for participants to reflect, learn, and adapt easier.
